Camp Arrowhead

(Year-round) Camp Arrowhead is located on Lake Secession near Antreville, SC. It has been the site of several camporees and many unit trips for Troops in the western areas of the Council. For a nice weekend on the lake, you cannot beat Camp Arrowhead. Water available. There is no fee for unit camping.

Directions Take I-85 South towards Anderson, SC. Exit off on Hwy 81 south in to Anderson. Follow Hwy 81 until you get to Owens Corning Fiberglass. Directly past Owens Corning, take a left and follow this road through two stop signs. After the second stop sign the entrance will be approximately a 1.5 miles on the left. If you see the dam, you've gone a half mile too far.

 

Sept 15th - 16th Plans

Saturday

- Eat Breakfast at your house.

- Meet at the Scout House at 7:00am.

- Load trailer and leave by 7:45am

- Arrive around  9:15am

- Set up camp

- Go fishing or swimming

- Eat Lunch

- Work on camping skills

- Then go fishing or swimming

- Eat Dinner

Sunday

- Eat Breakfast

- Go fishing or swimming

- Eat Lunch

- Pack up

- Return to Scout House around 2:30pm

Camping gear - as directed by your scoutbook

Fishing gear

If First Class or below - bring your scoutbook

 

What not to bring

Electronics (radios, Ipods, etc.)
