Camp Arrowhead Fri/Sat/Sun  April 16th-18th

 

Time: Arrive at Scout House on Friday April 16th  no later than 5:00 PM. 

Eat dinner BEFORE you come.

 

Information:

Camp Arrowhead is located on Lake Secession near Antreville, SC. It has been the site of several camporees and many unit trips for Troops in the western areas of the Council. For a nice weekend on the lake, you cannot beat Camp Arrowhead. Water available. There is no fee for unit camping.

Directions Take I-85 South towards Anderson, SC. Exit off on Hwy 81 south in to Anderson. Follow Hwy 81 until you get to Owens Corning Fiberglass. Directly past Owens Corning, take a left and follow this road through two stop signs. After the second stop sign the entrance will be approximately a 1.5 miles on the left. If you see the dam, you've gone a half mile too far.

 

 

Friday 4/16/10

5:00pm - Arrive at Scout House Load up equipment

5:30pm - Leave Scout House

6:30pm - Arrive at Camp Arrowhead

til 10:00pm - Setup camp, Night Games

 

Saturday 4/17/10

6:30 am - Wake up

7:00am - 8:00 am - Breakfast

8:30 am - Noon - Fishing / Swimming / Camping Skills

Noon - 1:30 pm - Lunch

1:30pm - 4:30 pm - Fishing / Swimming / Camping

4:30 pm - 6:00 pm - Dinner

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Camporee / Games

10:30 pm - Lights out

 

Sunday 4/18/10

6:30 am - Wake up

7:00 am - 8:00 am - Breakfast

8:30 am - Sunday Worship

9:00 am - Leave Camp Arrowhead

10:00 am - Arrive at Scout House

- Gear bag (any from a backpack to sports bag)

- Tent, unless you are using a troop tent.

- Sleeping bag

- Change of clothes

- 120 oz. of water (6 bottles)

- snack foods

- Depending on weather – poncho and other rain gear

- Depending on weather – jacket, knit cap, cold weather socks

- Fishing Gear

- Knife

- Hiking boots (no tennis shoes)

- Boy scout cap (optional)

- Hiking staff (optional)

- Flashlight

- First Aid Kit

- Toothbrush / toothpaste

- Toilet paper

- Large kitchen trash bag

- Folding Chair

- If not yet 1st Class, bring your scout book.
