Camp Bob Hardin Car Camping trip

 

Friday 11/3/06

- Arrive at the Scout House at 5:30pm.

- Pack trailer with Troop gear, food and your gear.

- Leave for Camp Bob Hardin at 6:30pm.

- Stop at McDonalds at New Cut Road and I-26.

- Eat dinner.

- Arrive at Camp Bob Hardin around 7:45pm.

- Unpack (bring flashlights) and set up camp

- 10:00pm Lights out

 

Saturday 11/4/06

- Wake up at 7:00am

- Cook breakfast

- Morning announcements at the flagpole.

- Activities.

- Fix Lunch

- Activities.

- Around 5:00pm start campfire.

- Dinner

- Night games

- 10:00pm Lights out

 

Sunday 11/5/06

- 7:00am - Wake up

- Cook breakfast

- 8:30am – Sunday service

- 9:00am – take down shelters and tents

- 10:00am - Leave 

 

What to bring

- Gear bag (any from a backpack to sports bag)

- Tent, unless you are using a troop tent.

- Sleeping bag

- Change of clothes

- 120 oz. of water (6 bottles)

- snack foods

- Depending on weather – poncho and other rain gear

- Depending on weather – jacket, knit cap, cold weather socks

- Knife, optional.

- Hiking boots (no tennis shoes)

- Boy scout cap (optional)

- Hiking staff (optional)

- Flashlight

- First Aid Kit

- Toothbrush / toothpaste

- Toilet paper

- Large kitchen trash bag

- If not yet 1st Class, bring your scout book.

 

Meals

- Friday Dinner - McDonalds (bring $6.00)

- Saturday Breakfast - Bacon, eggs, Hot Chocolate

- Saturday Lunch -  Beef Stew, rice, Gatorade

- Saturday Dinner – Chicken Cordon Bleu, noodles, corn, Cool Aid, Tea

- Sunday Breakfast – Oatmeal, Cereal, Hot Chocolate
